Big declines in Atlantic Salmon leads to questions about what happens out at sea

Concerns about the big decline of the iconic Atlantic Salmon in Britain's river systems are leading scientists to investigate what happens to this iconic fish while it's out to sea, with, on average, only 3% of fish leaving the river returning to spawn and this figure has regularly dropped below 1%. If the decline continues, wild Atlantic salmon will disappear from UK rivers in the next 30 years.

CPH2

Ireland's first-ever electrolyser delivered

Clean Power Hydrogen (CPH2) , the Yorkshire manufacturer of the patented Membrane-Free Electrolyser™, is celebrating a double sales and investor milestone.

CPH2 has delivered Ireland's first-ever electrolyser. The MFE02 Containerised Membrane-Free Electrolyser™ was shipped from CPH2's Technology Innovation Centre in Doncaster, commissioned, and is ready to produce pure hydrogen and medical grade oxygen.

roundup ireland cph2 webAt the same time, Jon Duffy, Chairman, and CEO has been engaged with private investors to secure a further £3m of funds.

Jon Duffy said: "This new investment will help us to scale the business further to meet the rapid growth and demand of the global electrolyser market, as well as the continued development of our manufacturing processes."

The CPH2 system produces a mixed gas that is cryogenically separated. It makes use of an efficient heat exchanger to recover the cold energy invested in the distillation of the oxygen from the mixed gas stream, and this process renders the separation highly efficient.

Alongside this successful deployment, CPH2 is currently building MFE220 1MW electrolysers, and MFE30, plus MFE30+ electrolysers for delivery in mid-2021.

With continued investment in R&D, CPH2 aims to advance the levels of efficiency and operating costs to a new level, enabling the company to maintain the position of offering the lowest lifetime cost of hydrogen.
