Researchers in Indonesia have documented the first-ever sighting of twin Tapanuli Orangutan infants. The sighting is significant as Tapanuli Orangutans, a species that was only discovered in 2017, are the rarest ape in the world and face extinction. Biologists have now shown conclusively that in urban blue tits, reduced breeding success is linked to poor nestling diet and in particular to scarcity of caterpillars, their preferred nestling food.
